A seat is a single license for one logged in user on Progression. Everyone with a login will need a seat, including both admins and employees.

Progression helps you to build, share and maintain career frameworks, as well as support your teams in growing their skills based on the expectations in your frameworks.

Progression is typically used by individual teams (for example engineering teams) as well as by entire organisations. Progression is perfectly set up for technical teams and companies — for example start-ups and tech consultancies. However as Progression's frameworks are entirely flexible, anyone can create a team and start using the product successfully.

You can, using our free tier. However we recommend getting your manager involved too so you can ensure the framework you're using matches their expectations.

We understand that building career frameworks can take time. However we strongly recommend that you 'ship early' and start using simple content, before evolving it over time. If you keep things simple you can expect to roll out Progression in days or even hours for a single team. We have a library of templates and an AI assistant to help with content wrangling, and our team are always happy to advise if you're unsure.
